Magali Sanchez, 8am 1. This assignment was hard to an extent. It is always hard to think of something to write about and get your ideas out, but once you figure it out and have an idea of a structure it makes it easier. It also makes it easier that in writing a poem, a writer can write about absolutely anything and with no rules at all. 2. I chose the theme of courage and belonging. 3. My title and my piece had a direct relationship to the theme of courage. I decided I wanted to write a poem in the structure of a poem, in which I directly talked about courage and implied a feeling of the need to belong. 4. I am using two approaches for my third essay; I am going to use critical analysis and compare/contrast. 5. I will focus my paper on two of Langston Hughes' poems: "I, Too, Sing America" and "Theme for English B"
1. It was not that hard for me. Maybe because my poem is really short and not that good. 2. I chose education as my theme. What it does to people and how they feel about it. 3. My piece gives education character traits. The piece never directly addresses education for what it is. I decided to give it some human traits so people can relate to how education can be toward us. 4. I am planning to use literary analysis and compare and contrast. 5. I am thinking of using "Because I Could Not Stop for Death" and "I Heard a Fly Buzz". I chose these pieces because I believe Dickinson's attitude toward death is very interesting.
Marie Biaggi 10 am 1. This assignment was difficult. I don't think I would ever be able to create a really meaningful poem with a rhyme scheme. Just trying to pick proper words and choose where to place line breaks was sufficiently difficult. Also, incorporating any type of symbol would be extremely hard. There's so much to think about when writing just one line. I'd find it very difficult to envision the piece as a finished whole. 2. I chose the theme of America because there were many different ways you could go with it. Either seeing it is a great country, a developing one, a harsh world, a wealthy country, etc. 3. I discussed how America has and always will be a rock. I personified it as a woman, giving what she has, being nurturing and giving yet asking for nothing in return. Portraying her as a mother figure. As all these things go on like wars and her abuse, she still stands there and takes it. America stands as a strong woman. 4. I'm going to use critical analysis. 5. I'm going to analyze "A Good Man Is Hard to Find" because I like the twisted plot of the story. There are very minor details in the story that I find interesting and relate to the piece as a whole.
Lilian Kim 10am 1. This assignment was not hard because we had the choice to write about a topic that adhered to us, and since it was a topic that we could relate to all we had to do was write our hearts out. 2.I chose the theme of love because at the moment it clicked in my mind and I felt like I wanted to write about it. 3.I wrote a piece in which love stories are not always fairy tales since love has so many different aspects and perspectives. As a writer, I chose the truth, I did not sugar coat things or change it drastically into a soap opera, I told the mere truth. 4.I plan on using the critical analysis reproach. 5.I want to focus on Walt Whitman's Literature because I really like how descriptive and sensual his poems are and in middle school as we learned about his poems, I really appreciated them.
1. This assignment was difficult initially, but once I figured out what topic to focus on it became much easier. 2. I chose the theme of equality between gender roles because it is something that interests me and I think it needs to be expressed. 3. My piece reinforces the theme with the actions in the poem. The little boy's father kissed him on his way to school and his older sister drove a huge monster truck. I used off-rhymes to replicate the tension a reader might feel when they see people not living up to their expected gender roles. 4. Thus far, I am leaning toward completing a critical analysis because I would like to dissect and fully understand a single poem. 5. I enjoyed reading the literature by Shirley Jackson, so I might use her work for the third paper.
1. The first time I tried to write, I attempted to write a poem. It was actually very difficult to find the right words to say. So instead I wrote a short story. This was much easier because I didn't have to follow a rhythm.
2. The theme I chose was: You never realize what you have until it's gone. I know we didn't discuss this theme in class but I felt like it was something I could relate to and easily write about.
3. The short story related to the theme because I made the story's plot something most people could conect with. The story illuminated the fact to note take anything for granted. I kept the story short and simple with an easy plot to follow which led directly to the theme.
4. I'm going to use compare/contrast for my third paper. I think I can get the most information out on to the paper by using two stories.
5. I am going to use "Cathedral" and "A Small Good Thing" by Raymond Carver. I anjoyed both stories and the message he was trying to get across in his stories was pretty clear.
Mindy Pham 10 a.m. 1. This assignment was hard because I am not a strong creative writer and I had a difficult time starting the poem. 2. The theme I chose to write about is America because America can be seen in so many different points of view. 3. I wrote about how diverse America is and how at times the country seems extremely divided on a range of ideas. However, at the end of the day, Americans are united when help is needed. To support the differences America has, I used contrasting adjectives to describe the country. 4.For the third paper, I am using the critical analysis approach. 5. The piece of literature I will focus on is Emily Dickinson's "I Could Not Stop for Death." I am choosing this piece because I liked that death is not portrayed negatively and there is an understanding tone about death.
Laurie Ho 10 a.m. 1. The poem was not too hard. I wrote down feelings and thoughts without worrying much about the rhyming and rhythm. Poems are very free and undefined, so almost anything can be a poem. 2. I chose death because I had the most thoughts on it at the time of writing the poem. I was thinking about the suicides at my high school. 3. Some people do not welcome death, but others want it and purposely end their lives without warning. I have asked questions in my poem and used words like "tears," "sadly," and "extinguished" to describe the grim nature. I have many differing line lengths to keep the rhythm unpredicted, which is like suicides. 4. I plan to use the critical analysis approach. 5. I will focus on "A Good Man is Hard to Find" because there are a lot of themes, and the characters' personalities interest me.
1. It was hard to think of what to say, but it's not that hard because for poems, you don't have to worry about how it flows, because it is very free writing most of the time.
2. I chose love, because that is always a very expressive and open topic that I can relate to the most out of the ones we went over in class.
3. I tried to explain my view point and how I feel about the current situation.
4. I think I will try to do a critical analysis or a question-driven essay. In high school for analytical essays, that's what I used to write most, so I think I am most comfortable and familiar with that type.
5. I think I will choose Hills Like Whit Elephants because it is a simple story with a lot of symbolism, but also there is not too much to analyze.
1. When I was first presented with the task of writing a poem, I was discouraged and figured it would prove to be very challenging. However, after I began writing the words seemed to come easier than anticipated. Although my poem is far from a masterpiece, it was fairly easy to write.
2. I chose the theme of love because it is relatable and it is linked with strong emotions.
3. I used the same line to both open and close my poem, it added a sense of fluidity to my writing. Also, I chose to refrain from stating that the topic was love until the very end. This allows the reader to use his or her own imagination as to what the symbols mean before it is explained.
4. I am planning to do a critical analysis for the third paper.
5. I will most likely analyze "A Good Man is Hard to Find" because it was the one piece that really sparked my interest.
1. This exercise was simple. I enjoy creative activities, and writing a poem allows me to express my thoughts. 2. I chose “love” because I had funny and awkward experiences regarding relationships that I can look back on and laugh about. 3. I portrayed the awkward experiences young teenagers go through in high school. I also included humor into the poem by contrasting my confident tone with the uncertainty in my final statement. 4. For my third paper, I am going to write a critical analysis. 5. I want to focus on the short story “Cathedral.” I understand the message of the story and am aware of some of the author’s methods of portraying that message. I also enjoyed the work.
What is love? I felt it before. Even though I was only ten plus four. We were just friends at first. But later, my heart started to burst. I could tell her heart felt the same as mine. ...Right?
1. I was in a thoughful mood today, so it wasn't that difficult for me to write about my own feelings in a poem.
2. Experience and the memories they leave behind have the potential to change a person.
3. I included dialogue of certain experiences, repeated certain words for emphasis, utilized caesuras (also for emphasis), and used a switch in my diction.
4. I am going to do a critical analysis for the third paper.
5. I am going to focus on "Fat" by Raymond Carver. I found the story interesting, because it is so blunt and intriguing.
Elizabeth Diaz 8am 1. I write in my spare time, so I didn't think this assignment was hard at all. Maybe emotionally because I wrote about a personal subject, but it didn't take much to think up the words. 2. I chose the theme of becoming distant to someone who you were once close with, only because it's something that's been on my mind lately. Going away to college has definitely put some strain on my relationships. 3. I wrote a poem, but it was more in a letter type of form. I to describe some imagery of memories. I chose to keep the tone passive, and also questioned what makes people grow apart. 4. As of right now, I'm planning to do a compare/contrast for my paper. 5. I want to focus on Langston Hughes, because I've become familiar with his work throughout high school, so it's something that I can have good ideas on.
1. It wasn't hard because when you write about something that's been on your mind for a long time, it's easy. 2. The theme I chose was Home because lately I've been homesick and I haven't been home since I've come to college. 3. I wrote about the everyday things that I did and said how all the time that I am doing those things, I am still thinking of home and anticipating for the holidays. Also I used a tone of reminiscence and a bit of sadness to express how much I miss home. 4. For the third paper I am planning to do a critical analysis. 5. The piece of literature that I will focus on for my paper is “Theme for English B” because I want to analyze what Hughes says about equality. The reasons he lists why blacks and equal to whites are interesting and I want to write about his tone and the justification for his writing this.
1) Writing a poem was not hard. I felt that once I had one thought, the words just flowed. I had many ideas in my head that made it easier to keep writing. 2) The theme I choose was a combination of fear and love. 3) I used the words love, hopeful, hurt, end, disappear. The poem was written in a story form. It starts off happy and hopeful then changes to fear of whats to come. 4) For the third paper I'm planning to use Critical Analysis. 5) I'm between "Lottery", "Cathedral" and "Because I Could Not Stop for Death"
1. This assignment was not at all hard for me. I used to write poems a lot when I was younger so writing a poem on the spot was quite easy and refreshing for me. 2. I chose to write about love because I find it to have so many meanings whether its about family love or relationships. 4. I am planning to write a critical analysis for my third paper. I really like trying to figure out meanings of poems and how the author decides to write it aka the tone. 5. I am thinking about analyzing the poem "I, too, sing America" by Langston Hughes because it was my favorite poem out of the ones we had to read for class. I also really like how Hughes expresses his feelings in an optimistic way.
1. It wasn't too hard because it was just for myself. I wrote the piece with no fear of judgement, whether it was from my peers or from a letter grade. This allowed for me to express it in a little less formal of a tone.
2. The theme I chose was how every day routines can become monotonous and dull, but can be broken. I chose this because many of my days seem to be getting repetitive, and I wrote it to remind myself that a simple task can do the trick of breaking the boring habits.
3. I chose to begin with imagery that seemed grey and boring. As the poem progressed, I began to add color to it as the narrator encountered better and more exciting things. This allowed for the reader to become more engaged with the poem itself, and to paint an image in their head.
4. For the third paper, I would like to do a critical analysis of one of William Carlos Williams' pieces. This I may start, and find that it is too difficult and simple to write a six page paper on, so I may change. If I change, I would like to do a critical analysis of "I too Sing, America".
5. Either one of William Carlos Williams' pieces or Langston Hughes' "I too Sing, America". If I manage to follow through with the WCW piece, I will have tried it because of the possibilities with it. There are so many possible explanations to his poems, that I think it would be a really different experience. If I do Hughes, then it will be because I have always liked the style in which he composes his works, and all of the themes that he addresses were extremely ground-breaking for his time.
3. My piece that I wrote had a lot of emotion and shows my interpretation of love. I did choose a rhyming scheme because I like the way it makes a poem flow better. It describes how a young man loves a young woman unconditionally and has this deep care for her that is unimaginable.
Sammy Xian 10AM 1. It seems to be really tough in the beginning because I had no idea what to write about. Poetry isn't my specialty, but I felt like it would be more interesting. 2. I chose the theme of freedom and equality because of how it has always interested me. I feel like discrimination and injustice is still in this world and many people refuse to stop it. 3. My piece related to the theme because of how I compared two people of different color together. I chose to make it that they realize how they aren't different from the start. I made it so that the reader understands that they are both the same on the inside. 4. I plan on using the critical analysis approach. 5. I plan on using "A Good Man is Hard to Find" because it interested me the first time I read it. It stood out from the other stories that we've read so far.
Tony 8 A.M 1. It actually was more difficult than I had thought it was going to be. I had a topic in mind and ended up changing it anyways. I never thought how much poets had to think about the word choice they use or the rhyme scheme. It is a lot of work and I can't imagine I would be able to complete a great poem with symbolic value and deep meaning. 2. I chose a topic about growing up. I am not sure why I ended up with this one. It just seemed more natural and easier to write about to me. 3. Well I talked about how things were back when I was young and how things changed as I grew older. 4. I am thinking about doing a critical analysis. 5. Most likely it will be one of the Langston Hughe's poems. I really enjoyed them and understood them the best.
1. It was really easy once I decided what to write my poem about. The original idea is where I had the most trouble. 2. My theme is happiness. 3. My poem uses a sad dog to address the theme of happiness. 4. I plan on doing critical analysis. 5. I may use the poem about the wheelbarrow. It was short, but I think it may be interesting to analyze an imagist poem.
1. The poem was difficult to write, because i knew what I wanted to write about, but just putting it together in writting was more complicated than I thought it would be. 2.My theme was about hate. I chose this theme because it was the easiest to write about. 3. The peice related o the theme because through the word choice and imagery. 4. I plan on writing a critical analyis abiut a poem. 5. Either I too am America by Langston Hughes or Emily Dickinsons poem.
1. I found this assignment to be really hard for many reasons. I could not even think of a way to start and I had trouble putting my ideas together. I only confirmed the fact that I am really bad with poems, I felt like I was rambling and that my ideas did not make sense. 2. I chose the theme of grief since a relative died on Wednesday and I felt there was a lot to express. 3. My piece illuminated that theme by using negative word choice, imagery (description of relatives body and hospital), the form was a rhyme scheme because I felt I wouldn't be able to express myself the way I wanted to. I also used symbols such as a dead flower, ringing bells, and ashes to represent death. 4. The approach I am trying to use for the third paper is either the first choice: critical analysis of a poem or comparing two pieces. Most likely I will do comparing two pieces by the same author. 5. The pieces of literature I will focus on will be Emily Dickinson's "Because I Could Not Stop for Death" and "I Heard a Fly buzz." I chose these two pieces because I feel like there is a lot to talk about and the second poem seems like a challenge.
1. I love to write short stories so this assignment wasn’t very hard once I found a theme I could work with. I write similar short stories all of the time for this "100 Theme Challenge" and get those done easier than some of my plot-less stories. I liked the exercise.
2. I chose the theme “promise” because I wanted to incorporate a tragic feeling leading a person to feel secured only by a promise made to him by his mother.
3. My piece related to the theme though the plot that led up to a promise made. I wanted the promise being made the only thing that would allow this person to feel secure whether or not it was one the other person could keep. I had to decide on the tone and attention to detail to create a dark enough atmosphere in order for the ending to be light enough where the promise made a difference but still kept a sullen feeling for the audience because they knew the reality of what would eventually happen.
4 & 5. I really want to do a specific question for Milton’s Paradise Lost. I feel that it contained many devices as well as strong characters and deeper meanings that could be explained very fully and analytically. If I cannot find a question, I still want to do Milton, but instead it’d be a literary analysis of one of his poems, maybe L’Allegro or Il’Penseroso.
Caressa Arias: 8 AM 1. I thought it was pretty hard because I had to think about the rhyme scheme, the word choice etc. There is alot that goes into a poem. 2. I chose the theme of death because Emily Dickinson's poem really got me thinking about it. 3. My poem illuminates the theme of death by using very mysterious words and a dark tone. 4. For my third paper I am planning on using the critical analysis approach. 5.I am using Emily Dickinson's 'Because I Could Not Stop for Death' because I found it very interesting and I believe there is enough to talk about in the poem for the critical analysis.
1)I did think that this assignment was hard because it as hard to make my poem flow and try to use devices such as alliteration to try to have a calm tone. 2) I chose to write about the absence of home because every now and then I just get a feeling of nostalgia, which is what I felt while trying to get some inspiration for this poem. 3)I did want to be very careful with the tone that my poem had. I also chose the diction of the poem carefully because I wanted the poem to be filled with emotion that people could relate to. 4)For my literature paper I plan to use the critical analysis. 5)I did want to focus on works of Flannery O'Connor because I enjoyed her stories that I read.
1. Writing my poem was more difficult than I thought. At first I thought it would be easy, but the process of gathering my thoughts and writing them down in a way that made sense was difficult. Creating images and metaphorical references similar to these literary legends was complex because their language is so in depth.
2. I chose equality because I feel that it is a universal message everyone can understand and appreciate.
3. To show equality in my piece, I let nature represent a free land where it belongs to everyone. I chose objects like clouds, waves, and trees to show the universal message of equality. I let visual images illuminate these objects, for instance I let the tree rooting from the ground show its unification with the universe. The trees come from the earth just as we do, and nothing makes the tree any different than us. I attempted to include diction that would express the positive outlook and intimacy of equality.
4. At first I intended on doing a critical analysis, but after today's discussion I have started to consider doing a compare and contrast.
5. I will either analyze or compare works by Emily Dickinson or Langston Hughes because their writing style has true expression of their voice, therefore illuminating the theme. Because each poet will write multiple poems of the same topic, it allows for extensive material to analyze and compare.
Chin Vong 10am 1. Writing poetry is challenging. It's hard to find the few right words to express all my thoughts. This along with the usage of techniques like rhyme scheme makes the assignment impossible. 2. I chose the theme of trust. 3. My poem illuminates the theme of trust by asking a lot of questions. It is conversational in tone and it's as if I am speaking to someone else. 4. For my third paper I am planning on using the critical analysis approach. 5. The poems in the course reader and interesting. I am considering one of the poems.
1. It was really hard to think of what to write about at first, but once I finally had an idea in my mind it became easier. Still, creating each new verse took a lot of time and thought. 2. The theme I chose was the end of the world, because for some reason it was something I could write about. 3. My piece related to the theme with imagery illustrating the various ways people think the world might end. Also, the poem is in the form of a sonnet in order to create a good flow and rhythm while maintaining an inquisitive tone. Plus, the ending suggests that the reader better prepare with a metaphor that time is running out. 4. For the third paper I am planning on writing a critical analysis. 5. I think the piece of literature that I will choose is "The Lottery" because I found it to have a good message and an interesting way of expressing that message. This I feel I'd be great at analyzing.
1. I found it somewhat hard to write this poem just because I was worried about making it appealing to an audience, but then I just decided to focus on reinforcing my thoughts more than anything else. I think could spend a lot more effort reworking the poem, but I would say it was not that hard to write it.
2.I chose the theme of diversity because I feel, even today, it is an important idea that everyone should be aware of.
3. I chose to use example of feelings and to cause the reader to empathize and relate feeling that could be involved with discrimination.
4. I short have had trouble with the comparing element from the second paper so I would rather try something different so I think I will do critical analysis unless I can find a good question for the question-driven type paper.
5. I think I will focus mainly on short stories by Flannery O'Connor, but Whitman is fairly interesting to me however I do not know if I could write a suitable paper about his poems. I chose the short stories because I think they have a clearly marked out theme that is noteworthy.
1. This assignment was more difficult than I thought because I did not know how to "approach" it. I tried to incorporate rhymes with a fixed number of stanzas like a traditional poem and this proved to be limiting.
2. The theme I chose is Love. Love is prevalent in the world and is something that everyone can relate to. I also feel that Love is one of the most powerful emotions, allowing more thought provoking ideas.
3. I talked about the different types of love that are in this world. I brought up the love that exists between friends and love between two lovers. I took special notice to word choice, such as "unconditional" to express the difference between true love and love.
4. I am planning on using the critical analysis approach because I am more comfortable with analyzing and discussing a piece.
5. I will probably be writing about "Because I could not stop for Death" or "A Good man is hard to find" because I found them interesting and intriguing.
1. This exercise was difficult for me because I am not a creative writer. I kept getting stumped in what I wanted to say. I wrote a poem but, it was straining for me to write. I kept worrying about making it rhyme but that is what kept holding me back from getting out what I wanted to say. 2. I wrote about heartbreak. My poem was about a girl who was toyed with by her lover. I wanted to write about heartbreak because someone very close to me went through something similar. This was my response to what I observed with the couple and what this person told me. 3. Well I split the poem into three stanzas. The first represented the "love at first sight" this person felt towards her lover. The second stanza focused on how their romance fell apart. The third stanza with the lover leaving her, and her despair. I decided to split my poem in three stages because to me that is how some reltionships are. How quickly someone falls in love and then just as quickly their hearts are shattered. 4. The approach that I am planning to use is critical analysis. 5. I will be focusing on Flannery O'Connor's, "A Good Man is Hard to Find". This piece interested me because of the theme of religion and how it ties to the ending if the story.
1. I found the activity fairly easy because I was forced to conform to any rules or regulations and I was writing at my most thought provoking location which is the beach. I just let my thoughts and emotions flow freely and jotted down whatever came to mind.
2. I chose love/heartbreak because I was focusing on my relationship with my boyfriend and the recent trials and tribulations we hvae been experiencing while in a long distance relationship. Our issues have been bothering me and so I thought positively expressing my feelings would be beneficial for both myself and my relationship.
3. My free verse poem related to that theme because I was expressing my love and the pain that I've felt. I chose to write in free verse and have repetition of only one specific phrase.
4. I am split between doing a Langston hughes poem or Cathedral because those were my two favorite works from this unit.
1. It was not challenging to me since I tend to often have ideas for a story and they are short. Creative writing is a favorite of mine, and this was a fun exercise. The only hard part of this assignment was the time constraint, just because creative writing is fun and easy to get carried away with.
2. I chose death and love because both are heavily intertwined with each other. They are also interesting subjects to write about, as there are many aspects that can be used in a short story.
3. My piece focused on the theme through the plot and the emotions of the characters. Betrayal, hate, desperation, friend and familial bonds all play into love and death. Fear of death because of the uncertainty of what will happen to those left behind is an interesting outlook to focus on.
4. I am planning on focusing on a critical analysis.
5. I will either focus on "The Lottery", "Because I Could Not Stop for Death", "This is Just to Say" or another short story I might come across (that's appropriate) between now and next Tuesday. The Lottery poses interesting moral questions that would be expandable upon, and Dickinson's poem provides a challenge, with Death's personification. The short, vague poem by Williams poses a fun challenge, with the many different interpretations one can have.
1. At first the assignment was difficult, but as I began writing the ideas came alive and it was much easier to write. 2. I chose the theme of equality. Many of the Langston Hughes poems spoke to me and inspired me to create a powerful poem about equality as he did many times. 3. I used a lot of imagery and personification. I chose a powerful and strong tone, almost angry -- like the stuff you see on Def Poetry. 4. I'm planning on doing a critical analysis. 5. I will probably pick a Langston Hughes poem.
1. This was not difficult for me because I write almost everyday. The fact that there are no restrictions or constraints makes it even easier to get away with literally anything, but is detrimental in a sense, because I always have a hard time finding where to stop. I have read that a good poem has no ending, only pauses.
2. I chose social justice, activism, and irony to convey a message in a satirical tone.
3.I used an alternate ending rhyme scheme, contradictory diction, and a satirical tone to convey very serious, and exploitative messages regarding people's egocentric views of social justice.
4 & 5 I am comparing and contrasting the poems of Langston Huges and Walt Whitman because they both convey a sense of american unity and everyday struggle in their poetry yet come from completely different roles in society and critical time periods on civil rights.
Angelica Cano (8AM) 1.) I thought the process of writing the poem was very difficult because I could not think about a proper theme or how to express make the rhyme sound good and still make sense.
2.)I chose to write about love because it seem like a good general theme that can be referred to in many ways. I feel it is simple but still has a powerful meaning behind it.
3.)The way I help explain my theme was by starting off asking questions to the reader about what is love and then answering them right after. So the focus on what love was always present in the poem.
4.)I will be doing a critical analysis for the third paper.
5.)As of right now I have chosen to write about the poem by Emily Dickerson Because I Could Not Stop for Death. The reason I chose this poem is because it stood out the most from the rest of the poems. I feel that it is a serious subject and she did a great job at claiming the situation down. I like how Emily Dickerson addressed death.
Merylynn Valencia (8AM) I wrote my poems but forgot to post my response :/
1) I found this really easy because I simply wrote about what had been troubling my mind for the past few days and it all came out on paper easily.
2) I chose to write about love, past love and new "love". I chose it because I felt it was one of the main things I had been thinking about lately and wanted to write some of the things that had been on my mind.
3) The way I wrote about my theme was through statements and thoughts that pertained to lost love. I included images that reminded me or brought me back to loving moments.
4) I'm going to do a critical analysis for my paper.
5) Initially I wanted to do a critical analysis of the story A Good Man is Hard to Find. But I might change my paper towards one of the Langston Hughes poems.

4. I am using two approaches for my third essay; I am going to use critical analysis and compare/contrast.

Jennifer Cha 10am
ReplyDelete1.

ReplyDelete1.

ReplyDelete1.
Emma Manley 10AM
ReplyDelete1.
Shea Shoemaker 10am
ReplyDelete1.
ReplyDelete1.
ReplyDelete1.
Yuri Lee, 10am
ReplyDelete1.
Mikayla Molinaro 10am
ReplyDelete1.
Ted Lee 10 am
ReplyDelete1.

ReplyDelete1.
Mary Gao 10am
ReplyDelete1.

ReplyDelete1) Writing a poem was not hard.

ReplyDelete1.
Alex Bule 10am
ReplyDelete1.

ReplyDelete...I forgot my answer to Number 3 ^^
3. My piece that I wrote had a lot of emotion and shows my interpretation of love. I did choose a rhyming scheme because I like the way it makes a poem flow better. It describes how a young man loves a young woman unconditionally and has this deep care for her that is unimaginable.
Sammy Xian 10AM
ReplyDelete1.

ReplyDelete1.

ReplyDelete1.
ReplyDelete2.My theme was about hate. I chose this theme because it was the easiest to write about.
3. The peice related o the theme because through the word choice and imagery.
4. I plan on writing a critical analyis abiut a poem.
5. Either I too am America by Langston Hughes or Emily Dickinsons poem.

ReplyDelete1.

ReplyDelete1.

ReplyDelete1.

ReplyDelete1.

ReplyDelete1.

ReplyDelete1.

ReplyDelete1.

ReplyDelete1.

ReplyDelete1.

ReplyDelete1.

ReplyDelete1.) I thought the process of writing the poem was very difficult because I could not think about a proper theme or how to express make the rhyme sound good and still make sense.

ReplyDeleteI wrote my poems but forgot to post my response :/
