10 AM Class: Thursday In-Class Exercise

Now that you've started the building blocks, and talked them over with a group, consider where you are right now.  Then, respond to the following questions.

1.  What is your topic?
2.  How far along, on a scale of 1-10, are you with your rough draft?
3.  What do you need to do to reach a "10" on that scale?  Create a plan for action.

    2. 4
    3. I need to find more information on the Misfit's views of a good man and the grandmother's transition to a "good woman" by the end of the story. I need to relate those to the definition of a good man. I will do these when I find time, most likely on Sunday and Monday, and I'll see what I can fit in over the break because I will be in France.

  4. Yuri Lee, 10am.

    1. My topic is on the symbolism present in "Hills Like White Elephant."
    2. 2 or 3. I couldn't do much of the building block because I had to think of a topic to write about, because there wasn't a set of questions i could look at for this story. Also, when I started the building block I realized I need to analyze more symbols so I started thinking of more.
    3. I need to find examples that support my symbols more. I should finish up the building block soon, and I'l probably start my rough draft later in the week.
