Just to clarify... Our essay format is: 1. Intro 2. Summary of ideas/content 3. description of form 4. critique/what we think of the essay 5. critique evaluation/methods 6. Conclusion
This is Bob-you are correct. Traditionally, the order (based on the numbers you've given here) would be 1,2,4,3,5,6....but any order that works for you is good!
The thesis should be in the first paragraph. Some papers manage to wait until the second paragraph, but as a default, it's best to have it in the first.
You do need a title, and it can be pretty straightforward, like CRITIQUE OF THE MILGRAM EXPERIMENT, or you can be more creative, like ELECTRIC SHOCKS AND THE AVERAGE PERSON, or something like that.

ReplyDeleteWhat is the minimum and maximum number of pages that are critiques should be?
About 4 pages. If it is 3 FULL pages, that's OK, but it should be three full, not just "onto" 3. You can go up to 5 pages if needed....
