I hope you're all having a nice weekend...here's just a quick note about what's coming up this week...
For Tuesday: Please have read "The Lottery" from the course reader, and write a reading response (1-2 typed pages about your impressions of the piece). Also, bring the reader to class.
For Thursday: We will discuss the first paper in detail.

I really can't find "The Lottery" in my reader. Maybe I'm just over looking something very obvious... Could you tell me what page it's on please?

ReplyDeleteThis is in the salmon colored "Writing 2 ACE" book right. I don't see any separation of Units. The index just has "Assignments" "Readings" and "Grammar Exercises" I don't see the "lottery" anywhere in the index.

Yes, that sounds like you got the wrong reader...did you ask for it by my name at AS Notes? There are a handful of ACE sections, so they may have just given you the first ACE one they found.
ReplyDeleteTo read the lottery, just google "The Lottery"+"Shirley Jackson" and you should be able to find a copy of it online....but definitely get the right reader as soon as possible, too!

ReplyDeleteI actually got the reader that says "Craig Cotich" is the instructor. It says ACE Writing 2 so I'm assuming they just grabbed that. Is your reader under "Bob" or "Robert" ??
